Program Assistant (Bilingual, English/Spanish)Family Focus is your partner in building strong families across the Chicago Metropolitan area! We want you to be a part of our journey!As the Program Assistant, you will provide program support, focused on administrative tasks that will help champion our programs aimed at providing childcare, child and parent education, and doula services to the community. Office tasks will be included. Duties include, but are not limited to:Coordinating deadlines, calendars, planning for groups and eventsProviding support in entering data into systems, including monthly statistics and reportsSubmitting all invoices and mileage reimbursementsAssisting in public relations and fundraising/special events sponsored by the agency or programAssisting with the center's social media presence and postsAssisting in preparing flyers, forms, and newsletterConnecting with and locating new vendors for activities, events, and materials. Placing orders.Stepping in, as needed, to support the Dual Language teamThe ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:High School DiplomaWorks well as a team member. Able to hold team members, including self, accountable for meeting deadlinesBilingual English/Spanish with good oral and written communication skills in both languages.Experience in providing administrative tasks and office supportComputer skills that include extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. Ability to help staff with computer issues and the InternetExperience with responsible posting on social mediaAbility to type a minimum of 35 WPMOrganized and able to work well under pressure and to handle multiple assignments at the same timeThis is a full-time nonexempt position.
