Job Description: We're looking for a contract Claims Payment Specialist to support our client's Workers' Compensation and Liability Claims teams. This individual must be comfortable going onsite 4 days a week 7:30AM - 4:30PM Monday through Thursday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This Specialist will play a critical role in issuing and processing claim-related payments, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, and supporting day-to-day claims operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative, accounting, payroll, or claims support experience who enjoys working with data, financial transactions, and multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and issue a high volume of claim-related payments, including medical bills, attorney payments, settlements, and refunds
• Verify payment requests and ensure checks are issued accurately and timely
• Confirm Tax ID information and validate payment details prior to processing
• Print and distribute checks while ensuring all payment amounts match approved requests
• Email payment registers and remittance information to clients, accounting teams, and stakeholders
• Verify bank deposits and investigate discrepancies as needed
• Process refunds and payment adjustments
• Import and export financial data between multiple systems
• Generate and run reports to support payment processing activities
• Maintain accurate payment records and documentation
• Support both Workers' Compensation and Liability Claims teams with payment administration

The pay of this role depends on experience level, however, starts around $25/hr.
