Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant family-owned and operated hospitality team. Duties

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth service flow
• Lead and motivate a diverse team of food service professionals, providing training, coaching, and development to enhance performance and teamwork
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently across all menu items
• Handle POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
• Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
• Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
• Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and maintaining high culinary standards
• Assist with budgeting activities, including cost control measures related to food handling and labor expenses
• Participate in interviewing prospective staff members to build a strong team aligned with our service excellence goals
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and fostering a welcoming environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food environments
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development responsibilities
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety regulations (including HACCP standards)
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively
• Experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cash handling procedures confidently
• Previous experience in hospitality management within casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling, quality assurance, and safety protocols
