Therapy - RRT

Therapist-Respiratory-Reg Profession

Provides evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Assesses patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment. Develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome. Educates patients and families about health conditions. Provides information about community support groups and available programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.

Experience: Minimum 2 years License: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire date. One or more of the following: Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the state respiratory care committee prior to hire date. Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) prior to hire date. Certifications: Preferred credential of Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA). Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation. Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Must-Have: RRT (NBRC), NRP, BLS Every 3rd Weekend Commitment
