AP/CP Pathologist

Greater Baltimore Pathology Associates, a private, community hospital-based pathology group of five (5), is seeking a full-time pathologist. The group is based at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland, a distinguished independent medical center with a reputation for innovation and excellence in several clinical services including surgery, medical and surgical oncology, gynecology, and obstetrics. Annual volumes in anatomic pathology include 14,000 surgical specimens and 1,700 non-gynecologic medical cytology specimens. The Department also employs three (3) pathologists' assistants and two (2) cytotechnologists. Each pathologist has sign-out responsibilities for both surgical pathology and cytopathology cases. Call responsibilities include frozen sections and clinical laboratory issues. The pathologists attend multidisciplinary tumor boards for general, breast, lung, head and neck, gynecologic, and gastrointestinal oncology. Applicants must have a strong surgical pathology background and be board certified/eligible in anatomic and clinical pathology. Fellowship training or practice experience is preferred. The position is intended to be a partnership track. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
