An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with an area healthcare client where you'll use your expertise to operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images that are used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• National certification in specialty from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). ARDMS or CCI registration for vascular ultrasound is required.
• Certification in vascular and echo/vascular modalities is required.
• Graduate from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
• Maintain required certification, registries, health requirements, and operational requirements. Ability to provide copies of registries and/or diploma on request.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and provide copies upon request. Subject to periodic driver's license checks.
• Vaccination against COVID-19 is required or documentation to support an approved exemption must be provided.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic smartphone and computer skills, including scanning and emailing documents.
• Willingness to travel regionally and drive between client sites. Candidates will be provided a company vehicle.

Role Summary and Key Responsibilities

• Provide mobile ultrasound services across a variety of care settings, including nursing homes, home health facilities, correctional and processing sites.
• Operate portable sonographic equipment to obtain diagnostically acceptable images and digitally transmit studies to radiologists for interpretation.
• Self-dispatch or check in with dispatch regularly to obtain case assignments and manage caseloads.
• Arrive at first case on time or depart home 30 minutes prior to first assignment. Travel between sites during shift as required.
• Verify physician orders against facility charts prior to performing exams. Confirm patient identity using two identifiers. Document nurse verifier when applicable.
• Perform patient exams; facility staff conduct required patient transfers and positioning.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle in serviceable condition. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Complete daily scanning of exam-related paperwork and billing per protocol.
• Carry company-provided phone and respond to urgent communications within 15 minutes.
• Adhere to company dress code, wear assigned uniform and name tag, and attend required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain required medical physicals, TB screening, annual infection control in-service, and provide documentation within two weeks of annual exam.
• Follow company policies regarding substance use, background reporting, and professional conduct.
• Train other technologists as required.
