Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring rapid assessment and treatment of patients with diverse medical needs. Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and prioritize incoming patients based on acuity levels and medical conditions.
  
  
• 
  Administer emergency treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a safe and sterile environment, following infection control procedures.
  
  
• 
  Respond efficiently to trauma and stroke situations, adhering to Level IV trauma protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
  
  
• 
  Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC required.
  
  
• 
  Have experience with Meditech documentation preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong critical thinking and triage skills.
