Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ER RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. This role involves working night shifts with a focus on stroke and acute care, supporting behavioral health, and managing urgent medical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and develop patient care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage acute situations, including stroke and STEMI cases, following protocol.
• Support behavioral health units and rapid evaluation areas within the ED.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, documentation, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Maryland or Compact RN license.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of ER nursing experience, including recent trauma or emergency care.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and critical thinking skills.
• Able to float within hospital departments within scope as needed.
• Prior travel or agency experience preferred but not required.
