Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical, Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry experience with remote monitoring Feeding tube care and management Accessing ports, blood product administration Central line care and management Peripheral line care and management PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs CVA and nasal cannula experience Isolation precautions Wound care and wound vac management Patient ratios experience (1:5 - 1:6) Description: The position requires a registered nurse with expertise in a diverse patient population with various comorbidities. The focus is on specialized care for stroke and neuro patients. Nurses will care for patients in a telemetry setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 - 1:6. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling. The client has a policy of zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences. The role involves floating between various facilities as required. RNs need to pass a mandatory EKG exam prior to start. Candidates must have experience in accessing and managing ports and IVs. Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is essential. Candidates must be adept in providing wound care and adhering to isolation precautions. Comprehensive patient care includes managing feeding tubes and responding to cerebrovascular accidents. It is vital for applicants to demonstrate proficiency in patient management and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
