CNC Machinist - 1st, 2nd or Weekend Shift

Position Summary

Our Machinists perform vertical mill machining at very close tolerances, adjust CAM programs using Gibbs CAM, machine set up and inspections of the parts they machine. Machining programs are created by our full-time programmer in Gibbs CAM but all machinists have the ability to edit their programs.


The majority of our parts are made from high performance plastic; however, machinists will also work with aluminum, 303 stainless steel and machinable ceramic. Short runs, no production work.

Shifts available:

1st shift Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:20pm, full-time benefits eligible

2nd shift Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:20am (8% shift differential) full-time benefits eligible

Weekend shift- Friday-Sunday, 5:00am-5:20pm (25% shift differential) full-time benefits eligible

Qualifications

• Minimum of either a Two-year Vo-Tech education in CNC Machining Technology OR Right Skills Now Certificate for manufacturing and 6 months related machining experience OR 1+ year manual/CNC machining experience.
• Ability to perform close tolerance work, read and comprehend part drawings and inspect his/her own work using both computer controlled and hand tool inspection equipment
• Programming experience with any CAM packages a plus (Virtual Gibbs highly preferred)
• Motivated, responsible, cooperative

Pay range for this position is $24.00 to $38.00. This salary information serves as a general guideline for starting wages. Several factors are considered when making an offer for this position including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, key skills, market and business conditions.
