Medical Practice Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Practice Manager role based in Staten Island, NY. The Medical Practice Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the medical practice, including patient scheduling, front-desk workflows, and coordination of clinical and administrative activities. This role manages staff assignments, supports onboarding and training, conducts performance check-ins, and fosters a positive, inclusive work environment. The manager will monitor billing and revenue cycle processes, support accurate documentation and coding, and collaborate with leadership on budgeting and cost control. Daily responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, maintaining policies and procedures, resolving patient concerns, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and producing practice performance reports for leadership review. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in medical practice management, clinic operations, or healthcare administration. Strong skills in staff supervision, team leadership, and scheduling within a clinical setting. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient scheduling software, and basic office applications. Knowledge of medical billing workflows, insurance verification, and revenue cycle basics. Understanding of healthcare compliance, patient privacy regulations, and quality and safety standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for patient and staff interactions. Proven organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Previous experience in an outpatient, primary care, or specialty care setting is highly beneficial.
