Most work will be normal business hours. But sometimes weekend work will be required, based on when procedures are scheduled./ppAs a member of our team, we all provide a high level of efficient patient care, while always presenting a caring, ethical, and professional experience for the patients, doctors and other team members./ph3Essential Responsibilities/h3ulliConsultation: Obtain thorough patient history, performs focused physical examination, formulates treatment plan and documents findings in the patients electronic medical record/liliDemonstrates basic understanding of venous ultrasound and basic surgical skill/liliReview pre-procedure instructions, explains procedure and review procedural risks and benefits with the patient/liliObtain vascular access and perform conservative therapy evaluation, microsurgical phlebectomy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and visual sclerotherapy/liliMaintain prompt and timely communication with the referring clinicians and patients (i.e. sends follow up letters, thank you letter and returns patients calls)/liliEducate and counsel patients and distribute educational materials/liliDocument within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and complete other necessary documents/liliDemonstrate actions of a team player-assist peers with documentation and case load, provides vacation coverage for peers and offer overall support when appropriate/liliDemonstrate pride in our high-quality care of our patients, and respect for fellow teammates./li/ulh3Educational Requirements/h3ulliMinimum of 2 years of experience in a physicians office or hospital setting/liliCurrent Texas RN license/registration by the National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)/liliCurrent Texas Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber License (Including all associated requirements for medical education, testing and logging of CME)/li/ulh3Basic Knowledge and Experience/h3ulliMinimum of 2 years of experience in a physicians office or hospital setting/liliExperienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions/liliAbility to make independent decisions regarding patient care/liliBasic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population/liliProcedural experience; preferably assisting Interventional Radiologists/liliSkilled in surgical techniques/liliExcellent communication skills/li/ulh3Professionalism/h3pMust have strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented a must Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as required Be a team player Drive: Self-starter with initiative to assist in practice development, and to create motivation within the clinic team Collaboration: Ability to work within a team setting and leverage strengths of other to accomplish objectives Interpersonal skills: Approachable, able to establish rapport easily, demonstrates empathy and active listening skills/ph3Physical Demands/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
