With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors. Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash. Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants. Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers. Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Represent JW Marriott’s brand identity, values and pillars What is required? Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces. Can do, problem solver personality. Friendly disposition with a passion for hospitality. Team player who strives to support others and likes to win as a team. Previous Marriott experience preferred.
