Scram Bakery is a scratch bakery and café known for its egg sandwiches and breakfast pastries made to a high standard every day. We're a very small team so we are looking for the perfect fit who can work alongside the owners daily.
Position
We are seeking a passionate and skilled egg cook to join our team at Scram Bakery. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing our signature egg sandwiches for our customers.
What you'll do
- Make beautiful eggs
- Prepare and assemble a variety of egg sandwiches according to our recipes and customer preferences
- Weigh and portion ingredients accurately; follow recipes and production sheets precisely
- Prepping and stocking efficiently for a timely opening
- Inventory control of all product and ingredients
- Follow all food-safety and sanitation standards; keep stations, equipment, and storage clean and organized
- Label, date, and rotate product using FIFO
- Assisting other team members as needed or when business needs dictate
What we're looking for
- A valid ServSafeFood Handler Certificate is required for this role — must be held at time of hire or obtained before your first shift
- Some bakery, pastry, or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Genuine interest in good food — you take pride in doing it right
- Able to follow recipes and instructions precisely and repeat them consistently
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and time management, with a constant sense of urgency
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to perform prep work in a timely fashion
- Comfortable with early-morning shifts, all weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working near ovens and in a fast-paced environment
