• Charting: Primarily paper charting with order entry in HCS

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; behavioral health RN experience preferred
• Preferably 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing or addictions care
• Current CPR certification required
• HWC certification required
• Strong crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, and active listening skills
• Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide accurate, thorough documentation

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to adults in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Support patients experiencing substance use disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, and anxiety disorders
• Use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to promote a safe, therapeutic environment
• Monitor patient status and collaborate with the care team to support individualized treatment plans
• Complete accurate charting and maintain clear, timely documentation
• Administer medications and support daily patient care within unit protocols
• Work collaboratively across rotating units to meet patient and unit needs
• Help foster a positive, respectful, and healing environment for patients and staff
