Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient and family-centered care incorporating the nursing process, including developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based interventions while anticipating changes in patient outcomes and unit needs.
• Communicate and advocate for patient values, preferences, and expressed needs as part of care plan implementation, evaluation, and patient/family education across the continuum using an interdisciplinary approach.
• Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams by fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
• Integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient/family preferences to deliver optimal health care, and participate in structuring the work environment to support evidence-based practice standards.
• Utilize outcome data and participate in quality improvement activities, including Root Cause Analyses, Safety Huddles, and Interdisciplinary Meetings to continuously improve quality and safety.
• Navigate and document accurately in the EMR to support clinical decision-making, error prevention, and care coordination, while communicating observations related to unsafe situations or risks to patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association with a minimum of 3 months remaining before expiration required upon hire.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Emergency Room or acute care setting.
• Certification in a clinical nursing specialty.
• Experience precepting orientees, peers, or students and serving as a clinical resource.
