Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Telemetry Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical
Schedule: Weekends: Yes every other weekend On-call: No
Assignment Details: Assignment lengths: Open to 26-week or 13-week
Requirements: Minimum experience: 1 year License: Current state nursing license Certifications: BLS required, telemetry interpretation/management competency required (Hardstop) EMR: EPIC required (EPIC hardstop) Unit-specific skills: Telemetry interpretation/dysrhythmia recognition and management, peripheral and central line care, IV starts/maintenance, blood product administration, HFNC and oxygen therapies, non-invasive airway management, IV insulin and heparin protocols, isolation precautions/PPE
Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings, ensuring timely management of dysrhythmias. Administer medications, fluids, and blood products as per established protocols. Provide comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and recovery. Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately in the EMR system.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 40 hours Pre-approved time off: One request allowed; more requires approval and may delay offer Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
