This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with babies and wants a consistent part-time schedule. You'll work alongside our classroom teachers to provide responsive care, support important developmental milestones, and create a warm environment where our youngest learners feel safe, secure, and loved. Key Responsibilities Support daily routines and learning experiences in the Infant A classroom Assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and individualized care routines Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, and age-appropriate activities Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development Provide attentive supervision and responsive care Help maintain each infant's individual schedule and routine Build positive and trusting relationships with children and families Collaborate with Lead Teachers and center leadership Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous childcare, daycare, or experience working with infants preferred Professional infant classroom experience is a plus Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and other infant care routines Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements What We Offer Competitive pay of $16-$18 per hour Consistent 3-day-per-week schedule Paid training and professional development Employee childcare discount for eligible employees Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching team Opportunity to gain professional infant and early childhood education experience Opportunities for growth and advancement Apply today to join The Learning Experience - Byron Center and help provide our infants with the nurturing care and engaging early experiences they need to thrive.
