Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant

• Outpatient & Hospital Call
  • Outpatient Tuesday - Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
  • Night Call - Call back is rare at this location
  • Hospital Rounding with a midlevel to assist
  • Weekend Call
  • Schedule is from a Tuesday to a Tuesday.
• Patient Mix
  • Adult Patients Only, No Peds.
  • Mix is more Hematology than Oncology Hem but this can fluctuate from month to month.
  • Volume of patients per day will also fluctuate, but averages between 15-22 patients- f/u's and new patients
  • New consults per week average between 15 and 20, depending on the referral volumes
• The facility would like the physician to participate in the Tumor Board, but will only present if they need to
• BMBX completed by IR.
• Chemotherapy is administered in the infusion dept by RN's with a team of pharmacists embedded in the center.
• Support Structure:
  • 3 Clinic RN's, 5 MA's, 3 NP's, 3 Front Office
