Assistant Estimator

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Estimator to join our Seattle, Washington regional office. In this role, you will be collaborating with the Estimating Team and Project Teams to deliver high-quality pre‑project plans. You’ll be assisting in the execution of conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates. Responsibilities Setting up bid systems for new and returning projects Managing and updating the bid solicitation database Performing quantity take‑offs, pricing, and bidding of construction projects Soliciting and developing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Pricing subcontractor, supplier, and self‑performed scopes of work Participating in developing accurate, detailed and complete conceptual, preliminary and contract estimates Assisting in bid strategy and estimate presentation Identifying constructability issues through estimating process Tracking and documenting historical data for future estimating process Training under the guidance of the Estimating Team to expand role and responsibilities Qualifications Self‑motivated, self‑starter, able to manage time effectively Ability to work with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and Suppliers Highly organized, efficient, detail‑oriented and accurate Possesses communication and people skills Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Project, Outlook, Word) and estimating programs Ability to read and interpret drawings Bachelor’s degree in Construction or a related field Basic working knowledge of wood‑frame and concrete multi‑family and commercial construction across all disciplines and phases Field experience or experience estimating self‑performed or direct work—this is preferred but not required Salary range is $75,000 to $95,000 annually.
