Through Nautique Cares, we contribute to causes both locally and around the globe.The Manufacturing Engineer will work directly with other Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers, Quality Control, and Product Design and Development Teams to help streamline processes. They are responsible for developing creative and efficient ways to make better products and improve processes. Daily responsibility is focused on but not limited to safety, quality, manufacturing, model integration, and supporting strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements, develop creative solutions, and implement them with the production teamsCoordinate problem-solving activities on the plant floor with multi-department resources.Establish operational methods and work standards using various work measurement techniques.Optimize the use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.Support manufacturing production teams to improve efficiency and resolve issues.Analyze existing operations and propose cost-justified improvements.Optimize employee production and material efficiency through continuous improvement.Maintain high-quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of the production process.Lead the advancement and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives in production.Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.Create processes and procedures to help Nautique meet strategic goals.Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration.Establish an effective and efficient process flow.Develop and implement new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.Generate production carts, jigs, fixtures engineering models, drawings, and Bills of MaterialPlay a key role in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.Evaluate and design ergonomic workstations and material handling systems.Skills and abilities for success in this position:Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with all members of the organization.Strong facilitation skillsExcellent organization and project management skills.Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.Ability to make sound judgments and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions/choices within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.Regular and punctual attendance.Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.Knowledge, Education, and or Experience Preferred:BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field or Higher.Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.Strong lean manufacturing experience especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, 5S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and visual managementAn energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment, and strong operational focus.A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.Working CAD KnowledgePhysical Requirements:Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary.This is a safety-sensitive position.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementNautique Boat Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
