General Neurosurgeon Position – AdventHealth Waterman, Tavares, FL

AdventHealth Waterman and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are expanding sub-specialty services and seeking a board-certified or board-eligible neurosurgeon to establish a new Neurosurgical Program and enhance existing neuroscience services across the East Florida Division.

Responsibilities

• Perform full‑scope neurosurgery, including craniotomy, spinal cases, and minimally invasive procedures.
• Utilize new microscope and Stryker Navigation system for open surgery, microsurgery, and peripheral nerve cases.
• Coordinate with a team of 3 surgeons for cross‑coverage support; provide 24/7 ICU coverage as required.
• Work with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to support both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Contribute to advancing AdventHealth into a world‑class neurosurgery destination.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient neurology services on site and within the system.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery through the American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS).
• Experience with full‑scope neurosurgery and familiarity using microscope and navigation technologies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
