Strategist, TikTok Shop

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategist, TikTok Shop based in the United States. This role owns the end-to-end growth strategy for a portfolio of brands selling through TikTok Shop. You will develop 12-month strategic roadmaps, from initial catalog audits and product selection through launch, optimization, and scaling. The position combines e-commerce strategy, financial analysis, product merchandising, creator commerce, and client leadership. You will use data to identify high-potential products, improve listings, optimize performance, and guide investment decisions. As a player-coach, you will balance strategic ownership with hands-on execution while partnering with specialist teams when appropriate. You will work directly with clients and cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, evolving social commerce environment. This is an opportunity to shape growth strategies for brands while helping develop best practices for a rapidly expanding commerce channel. Accountabilities - Own assigned TikTok Shop accounts as the dedicated strategist, developing and managing a 12-month growth roadmap in partnership with account managers and specialist teams. - Lead brand discovery and comprehensive catalog audits across TikTok Shop, Amazon, direct-to-consumer channels, and other relevant marketplaces. - Evaluate products against profitability, content potential, inventory availability, affiliate economics, compliance considerations, cross-channel demand, and overall TikTok Shop fit. - Select one to three priority “Hero Products” with the strongest potential to drive channel growth and establish a scalable commercial strategy. - Prepare products for launch by optimizing titles, descriptions, attributes, images, variations, bundles, pricing, and search visibility.

- Review pricing and channel parity while monitoring compliance and overall shop health to ensure launch readiness. - Develop quarterly milestones and strategic plans, lead 90-day scale-gate reviews, and recommend expansion, optimization, or changes based on performance data. - Monitor key performance indicators including GMV, ROAS, contribution margin, average order value, and creator efficiency to identify growth opportunities. - Provide ongoing strategic recommendations and translate performance insights into actionable account-level initiatives. - Partner with Sampling, Affiliate, Account Management, and other specialist teams to align creator strategy, product priorities, product seeding, affiliate launches, and client reporting. - Lead important client interactions, including kickoff meetings, quarterly business reviews, and 90-day strategy reviews. - Communicate strategic recommendations clearly and confidently, ensuring decisions are documented, measurable, and supported by data. - Capture insights from client and product performance and share them with internal teams to improve the broader TikTok Shop managed-service offering. - Operate as a player-coach by making strategic decisions, taking ownership of outcomes, delegating when specialist support is more efficient, and executing directly when necessary. Requirements - 3+ years of experience in e-commerce strategy, channel operations, growth strategy, or a closely related field. - Direct, hands-on experience with TikTok Shop, social commerce, or creator-led marketing . - Demonstrated ability to audit product catalogs and make go/no-go decisions based on profitability and channel-fit criteria. - Experience with product listing optimization, SEO and keyword strategy, merchandising, or pricing analysis. - Strong financial and analytical skills, including comfort working with margins, commission structures, contribution margin, ROAS, and other commercial metrics.
