Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay: Starting at $25/hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Full-Time

Qualified Staffing is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a chemical manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, supporting facility upkeep, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on machinery
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work orders
• Use maintenance systems or software to track repairs and service history
• Support facility maintenance, including interior and exterior upkeep
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects
• Source and research parts needed for repairs and maintenance
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazards

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude required with electrical experience preferred
• Experience with welding (MIG) is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues
• Comfortable using computers and maintenance systems (ERP experience a plus)
• Ability to research parts and solutions independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing setting that is not climate-controlled and may include exposure to heat, noise, and odors. Proper safety equipment may be required.
