SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s supply chain and logistics strategy to meet customer sales demands and to maximize the supply chain process efficiency and productivity. Provides the vision to support growth objectives. Provides senior management with the status and visibility into operations as aligned to our business strategy. Leads or directs the scheduling of production for the manufacture of company products. Strategically works through managers and supervisors to maintain and improve safe, high quality and efficient operations. Plans activities to ensure adherence to budget and operational objectives. Engages in sensitive negotiations of critical and high value items for key customers’ needs. Monitors production schedules, anticipates, and investigates major causes of delays, and ensures that corrective action is taken. Maintains a continuous review of schedules, methods, standards or other operational factors and makes recommendations for changes to improve quality and on-time delivery, while reducing costs. Exercises high-level discretionary judgment on a regular basis; exercises high-level autonomy in performing assigned responsibilities. Hires, trains, and supervises all Valve Assembly personnel assigned as direct reports on approved manufacturing procedures. Coaches employees for improved performance; and issues disciplinary, corrective action as warranted. Conducts performance reviews on a timely basis.DUTIES
Drives process improvements to improve Supply Chain with the desired outcome of being a highly qualified and a world-class organization. Strategically Motivates entire teams (advocates team concept) to drive process improvements for overall Operations and manufacturing efficiencies. Develop and maintain Manufacturing Key Performance Measures. Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations. Delegate’s development and maintenance labor capacity models to predict headcount needs. Hire the headcount needed to meet forecast demand. Develop and align our strategy with the vision and direction of the entire senior management team. Develop a close interaction with Logistics, Sales, Operations, Finance, Production and Customer Service teams to ensure fulfilment of the S&OP. Check, challenge and load S&OP (Sales & Operations Plan) in ERP. Lead, coordinate and execute supply chain activities: production and master scheduling, capacity simulation and supplier daily management. Profound up to date knowledge in modern supply chain systems, processes and methods and implementing best in class solutions. Establish challenging and appropriate key performance indicators for the supply chain and ensure alignment with Global Supply Chain and Operations strategy and Manager of Operations. Drive the transformation into an agile and customer-oriented supply chain to reach the group targets. In cooperation with the Procurement Team, chase and manage external and internal POs to avoid any shortages for customers. Follow customer OTD performance, customer lead time and implement relevant action plan to reach >95% OTD and market lead time. Be in close contact with Global Supply Chain to ensure standardization and best practice approach. Set supply chain employees goals and objectives, coaching and performance reviews. Lead and coach supply chain team to be ready for SAP implementation and future business growth. Participate to SAP implementation: business and SAP processes for supply chain. Prepare, input, and maintain specific spreadsheet data using computers / software (e g, M/S Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Prepare internal and external written correspondence; effectively communicate verbally; conducts meetings/presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, etc.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
80% inside, climate / noise-controlled office, 10% travel, and 10% high noise level machine shop environment: lifting to 25 lbs. on occasion. Eye, hearing, and Cleanroom protection may be required in the manufacturing areas. Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing/pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be familiar with state‑of‑the‑art supply chain management methodologies as they pertain to contract manufacturing, stainless steel, high‑vacuum chambers, valves, and components. Must demonstrate exceptional knowledge regarding production planning and Inventory Control processes. Must have strong organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize and complete competing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, customers, and other departmental personnel in a professional and positive manner. Technical writing skills include the preparation of engineering test protocols, engineering test reports, and manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures. Experienced with engineering documentation processes. Requires strong ability to work with others in the department to share specific knowledge of products, processes, and/or procedures to continuously make improvements.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and training, equivalent to graduation from an accredited college/university with a BS degree (MS preferred) in Engineering, Business or Materials Management, that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job. Minimum of 6‑years in related Operations, Materials Management, Engineering, or General Business experience, and 3‑years specific experience in precision metals fabrication and welding / machining environment that includes through integrators, multi‑plant and off‑shore experience; and 3‑years management experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
