Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 23, 2026

Location: Akron, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other holiday coverage required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown setting required
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact State license in hand at time of application
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director from specialty area within the past 12 months required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (two attempts maximum)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Influenza vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Completion of background check and fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
• Negative drug screen required
