Clinical Research Coordinator III

Position Overview Clinical Research Coordinator III within the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI), Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The role supports human subjects clinical studies related to environmental, occupational, and public health. Responsibilities include recruiting, screening, scheduling subjects, administering surveys, entering data, performing basic statistical analysis, and collecting and processing biological specimens. Responsibilities Recruit and consent study subjects by telephone and in person; schedule appointments and maintain participation records. Conduct study procedures such as height and weight measurement, blood pressure, spirometry, EKG, and specialized testing. Collect and process biospecimens including blood, urine, exhaled breath condensate, oral rinse, and sputum. Assist in sample management, recording collection, storage, and retrieval of specimens. Support overall study coordination in compliance with NIH, CFR, Good Clinical Practice, OHRP, HIPAA, institutional guidelines, and department SOPs. Provide occasional telephone coordination duties on weekends, as required. Willingness to learn phlebotomy techniques. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in biological science, public health, psychology, or a related field. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Preferred Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Highly motivated and proactive with strong problem‑solving, organizational, and administrative skills; detail oriented.
