This role will be responsible for developing electrical schematics and component specifications while driving electrical, software, and firmware requirements from design through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup. The ideal candidate will have a strong Electrical Engineering background with hands-on experience in PLC programming, C#/.NET application development, and servo-based motion control systems. This role will be responsible for developing electrical schematics and component specifications while driving electrical, software, and firmware requirements from design through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup. The ideal candidate will have a strong Electrical Engineering background with hands-on experience in PLC programming, C#/.NET application development, and servo-based motion control systems. Key Responsibilities Controls & Electrical Engineering
- Develop point-to-point wiring schematics and electrical/electronic component specifications
- Define electrical control system requirements and develop corresponding designs
- Support electrical system fabrication, integration, and implementation
- Select and specify electrical and electronic components for control system applications
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues throughout system development and deployment
- Develop and maintain PLC programs in accordance with IEC 61131-3 standards
- Develop control applications using Microsoft C# and .NET
- Support software and firmware requirements, design, testing, and implementation
- Integrate software applications with electrical and motion control systems
- Troubleshoot PLC, software, firmware, and system integration issues
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of control systems
- Develop and integrate motion control solutions using rotary and linear servo motors
- Perform system testing and troubleshoot equipment during commissioning
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout system development
- Support control system optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience programming PLCs in accordance with IEC 61131-3
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft C# and .NET application development
- Experience with control system installation, commissioning, and startup
- Experience with motion control systems
- Hands-on knowledge of rotary and linear servo motors
- Strong electrical controls troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively across electrical, software, and mechanical engineering disciplines
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the nature of the work
- Experience developing and implementing custom control algorithms
- Experience with electronic systems at the circuit board level
- Embedded systems programming experience
- Experience developing electrical schematics and component specifications
- Experience integrating PLC, software, firmware, and motion control technologies
- Background supporting complex automated equipment or industrial control systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
- PLC programming experience using IEC 61131-3
- Hands-on C# and .NET application development experience
- Control system installation, commissioning, and startup experience
- Motion control experience with rotary and/or linear servo motors
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Butte, Montana
