Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering specialized critical care to patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring their safety and well-being. The role involves monitoring patients' conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions regularly and document vital signs and clinical observations.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and stabilize patients as needed.
• Record all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and care procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and state certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA.
• Have necessary credentials such as NIHSS certification.
• Exhibit strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
