Extrusion Machine Operator

Job Title

Shift: Night - 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule Shift Premium Amount: $1.00 Pay Rate: $21.28

Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities include: operating equipment to produce finished goods to production specifications, safely stopping equipment during normal conditions and during an emergency, setting up machines to SOC using appropriate conditions, using a computer system to set run conditions and adjusting as necessary within SOC, performing line start up and line shut down, understanding and safely operating equipment, following all training documents or standard operating procedures (SOP) to operate the line safely and efficiently, using production reporting systems to fulfill job functions, safely operating lab equipment, and understanding all quality lab equipment and being able to operate and adjust as necessary to safely test film samples.

Qualifications

Qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent, ability to troubleshoot machine issues, strong mechanical aptitude is desired, ability to make sound decisions and follow guidelines, good communication skills, basic math, reading, and computer skills, high awareness toward safety, ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking, able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team, college-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary, and ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment.

Physical requirements include: frequent standing, walking, and bending, pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs, and eye/hand coordination.
