Description:

• Receives shipment into applicable dock bay, or drop-off location. Duties involve inspection of shipment material (e.g., BOL), validation of quality control seal and cargo, and unloading of shipment material into warehouse, or staging area

Job Responsibilities

• Retrieve materials from site gates, transport items to job sites/staging areas, verify deliveries against packing slips, report discrepancies to the Associate Project Manager, and perform off-site parts runs as directed.
• Sort incoming material by destination, clearly label parts by building (HB1–HB4) and data hall (1–4), stage material near points of use, and maintain clean, safe laydown areas.
• Safely operate forklift, telehandler, and aerial lift equipment; perform daily pre-use inspections; adhere to all ALC and site safety protocols; properly secure loads; and maintain required PPE.
• Act as the primary driver for site guests and out-of-town visitors using the company 15-passenger van, transport crews and equipment across the site, maintain assigned vehicles, and assist with general site logistics.
• Execute daily direction from the Project Manager, partner continuously with the Associate Project Manager on procurement arrivals, communicate delays promptly, and support field teams with material availability questions.

Requirements:

• Valid OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 Forklift Operator Certification
• Active OSHA 10-Hour Construction Card (must be presented prior to site entry)
• 3+ years of experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklift/telehandler).
• Valid Driver’s License with a driving record meeting company fleet insurance guidelines
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted; ability to stand, walk, climb, and operate mobile equipment continuously for shifts up to 10 hours in outdoor weather conditions ranging from sub-freezing to over 100&degree;F.
• Ability to read and match written alphanumeric inventory labels, shipping manifests, delivery receipts, equipment tags, and basic site plans written in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (ALC offers sponsored training for enrolled candidates shortly after hire), Telehandler certification, and Aerial Lift/MEWP certification (scissor/boom lift).
• Five (5) or more years of material handling, site logistics, or equipment operation experience in an active construction or industrial environment.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
