IT Consultant

Mississippi State University is hiring a IT Consultant to provide desktop and technical support for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Information Technology Services. The role troubleshoots computer systems, classroom AV equipment, and clinical support systems across campus and the college’s remote sites in Flowood, Pearl, Gautier, and Stoneville. It also covers help desk response, account administration, and periodic on-call support for critical systems. Highlights Troubleshoots desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices across the College of Veterinary Medicine Installs and maintains Windows and Macintosh systems and their application software Supports classroom and lab instructional technology, including projectors, A/V systems, and distance learning tools Maintains veterinary hospital clinical and administrative systems for day-to-day reliability Responds to help desk tickets and technical incidents Manages user account administration, password resets, and device deployment and inventory Coordinates with central ITS and third-party vendors on escalated issues Travels to remote CVM sites in Flowood, Pearl, Gautier, and Stoneville to provide onsite support Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency technical support Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
