Job Title: Batch Mixer Job Description

As a Batch Mixer, you will participate in daily safety meetings and receive batch sheets to formulate chemicals. You will be responsible for weighing out raw materials and handling liquids and powders from drums, totes, and bags. Your duties will include pouring materials into reactors, checking gauges and controls, and adhering to all SOPs. You will keep detailed records while working with batches up to 4000 gallons, and monitor machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines. In case of any issues, you will notify maintenance immediately. You will also perform housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and cleaning, while machines are running or once batches are completed. Communication of batch records with the next shift and supervisors is essential. You will work alongside a helper to ensure understanding of job duties and safety protocols. Initially, you will perform labor tasks to become acclimated to the batch mixing role, with flexibility in assisting with packaging, staging, and order preparation. Comprehensive training will be provided by supervisors.

• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in blending, formulating, chemical operating, and batch mixing for at least 3 years.
• Preference for experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industries over food industries.
• Experience with HMI, touch screen, and control screen operations.

• Experience working with or around PLCs and ladder logic is preferred.

Both sites operate with non-harmful chemicals and offer multiple break rooms and security checkpoints.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.75 - $29.95/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Alsip,IL.
