Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Pay: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour Commission structure: earn up to 8% on sales, compounding an average $2.02 per hour above base rate. Position Summary Entry‑level, part‑time sales associate in pawn stores nationwide. Responsibilities include greeting and engaging customers, processing sales and loans, managing cash and negotiable items, handling calls, maintaining the sales floor, and assisting with problem resolution. Will work with jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms (in FFL locations) and other merchandise. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs open/close procedures. Keeps sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions per policy and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items per policy. Responds to incoming calls according to company standards. Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers. Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience. Completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods; standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be required to assist customers outside the store or retrieve items from external storage. Minimum age 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented. Can multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Ready to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate. Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
