Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift community hospital role requiring postpartum experience and a LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with a mix of 80% L&D and 20% Mother/Baby/Postpartum care
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:00
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation coverage to be discussed during interview
• Float within the hospital as needed
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Charting system experience required (any EMR); facility currently uses Paragon

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Postpartum experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, FHM
• One professional reference required
• Candidates must disclose any license disciplinary actions at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery and postpartum nursing care including fetal monitoring, delivery assistance, and newborn care
• Orientation includes virtual and on-site training with additional EMR education on day three
• Minimal RTO requests preferred, including around holidays
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this role due to travel experience requirement
