Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

• Experience with CMM operation (Zeiss preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on dimensional inspection experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies and equipment against stated specifications, using measurement systems (including CMM) with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
• Comply with applicable inspection procedures and standard work.
• Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up.
• Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely.
• Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
• When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems.
• Be familiar with inspection and test procedures, standard work and test plans, and provide input to continuously improve them.
• Document the results of inspections and tests.
• Verify the stability of results over time, as feasible.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
• Perform inspections on machined metal parts (primarily tubular components, under 8 inches diameter and up to ~5 feet long).
• Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspections.
• Conduct manual inspections.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Document inspection results and communicate findings, including nonconformances.
• Collaborate with engineers on inspection outcomes.

Nice to Have:

• CMM programming experience.
• SAP experience.
• Zeiss certification.
• Experience in oil & gas or similar manufacturing environments.

Qualification And Education:

• 2-3 years of CMM and inspection experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
