Solutions Engineer - Product Expert

A fantastic opportunity for a Solutions Engineer to join a rapidly growing AI software company helping businesses automate complex workflows and improve customer experiences. Working within their post-sales technical team, you will become the go-to expert for a product area, helping customers get the most from a sophisticated software platform. This role offers substantial ownership, combining hands-on technical troubleshooting, API integrations and customer-facing problem-solving.

Location: New York, NY, on-site 4-5 days per week. Willingness to travel up to 20% for client visits as required.

\n

\n

Salary: $135,000-$190,000 base salary per annum + competitive equity + benefits. No variable bonus component.

\n

\n

Requirements for Solutions Engineer - Product Expert:

\n

\n
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role, with strong hands-on ownership after customers have gone live
\n
• Experience working within a startup, supporting customers across complex software products
\n
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical subject
\n
• Strong experience troubleshooting API integrations, investigating customer data and understanding how systems exchange information
\n
• Proven ability to independently investigate and resolve technical customer issues, taking ownership of escalations through to resolution
\n
• Experience becoming a trusted technical expert across a complex platform, with the ability to quickly learn additional products and functionality
\n
• Comfortable navigating codebases and working with engineering teams to identify when a software fix is required
\n
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers and colleagues
\n
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment where processes are still evolving
\n
• Experience in B2B SaaS and familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce would be beneficial
\n
• Relevant backgrounds could include a startup Technical Account Manager or another technical product role, provided you can demonstrate substantial hands-on post-sales customer ownership
\n

Responsibilities for Solutions Engineer - Product Expert:

\n
• Become the dedicated technical expert for a product area, supporting customers and Customer Success Managers after implementation
\n
• Investigate customer data and API integrations to diagnose issues, identify patterns and verify that systems are operating correctly
\n
• Take ownership of technical escalations, resolving issues independently where possible and collaborating with engineering when code changes are needed
\n
• Support customer onboarding, data migration and the introduction of new platform capabilities
\n
• Build a deep understanding of customer workflows and help customers use the platform effectively
\n
• Work closely with product, engineering and customer success teams to turn customer feedback into product improvements
\n
• Help shape technical support processes and ways of working as the team grows
\n
