Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator manages inventory for incoming and outgoing products and parts, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient material flow, and timely communication with internal stakeholders. This role combines hands‑on warehouse activities with computer‑based data entry to maintain precise inventory records and support daily logistics operations. Responsibilities Perform reconciliation of receiving and purchase documentation to ensure accuracy between physical deliveries and system records. Enter daily receiving information into the computer system using Microsoft Office applications and other internal tools. Notify end users and relevant internal contacts about incoming materials, shipments, or inventory status as needed. Manage outbound shipments, including packaging products for shipment, preparing paperwork and labels, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Create and process bills of lading and other shipping documents required for domestic and international shipments. Arrange transportation services and coordinate logistics to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements. Support inventory control activities, including inventory tracking and cycle counts, to maintain accurate stock levels. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners in a safe and efficient manner, following all site procedures. Maintain general housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness of the dock and warehouse areas to ensure a safe and orderly work environment. Collaborate with team members in shipping, receiving, and logistics to resolve issues and improve processes while also working independently on assigned tasks. Essential Skills At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Hands‑on experience managing inventory within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office applications for data entry and documentation. Experience with inventory control and inventory tracking processes. Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records. Experience working with bills of lading and basic logistics documentation. Comfort operating warehouse tools and equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Diploma (GED). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Shipping Coordinator or Receiving Coordinator. Familiarity with cycle counts and routine inventory audits. Exposure to logistics operations, including coordination of transportation services. Understanding of shipping and receiving best practices in an engineering or office‑based facility. Knowledge of IATA or related shipping standards is a plus. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
