The Town of Johnstown, Colorado, is seeking passionate individuals to join our Police Department as a Police Officer Cadet. Be part of a vibrant and growing community where your work truly matters. This position starts out attending Colorado POST academy for a semester in January 2027. After you pass the academy and become POST certified you will enter our mini-academy and receive more training to become a professional Police Officer.

You must have Colorado residence for at least one year prior to the start of the POST academy.

Cadet starting rate: $35.53/hr.
Police Officer starting rate (after POST academy): $41.80
