Working with a diverse team, you’ll be responsible develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. About the team: You will be part of the Finance team supporting our Banking Technical Development Team, being a true partner with the Wealth and Retirement Development team. This will be a hybrid role with expectations to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. What you will be doing: Track expenses on a monthly basis, comparing actual to forecasted figures and make necessary adjustments. Communicate and present financial results and forecasts, ensuring reports are clear and understood, including assumptions and dependencies. Detailed review of expense forecast performance and expectations with business stakeholders, identifying risks, opportunities and required actions to attain annual targets. Perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Investigation of existing expenditures with a view to identifying cost savings. Consistent review of existing processes to identify improvements or efficiencies. Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Meet with department managers to discuss and establish timelines and methodologies for completing budgets. Prepare reports for management summarizing results of research, analyses and evaluation of any discrepancies. Researching, building and collating financial information from various sources, including department leaders and other teams to inform forecast accuracy. Financial analysis as required on various business projects and related initiatives. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting. Minimum 3 years of Corporate Finance experience. Proficient in Oracle-Hyperion. Power BI or Alteryx experience would be helpful. Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards. Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools. Analytical and statistical examination skills. Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met. Communication – comfortable to explain financial performance, indicators and metrics to non-financial professionals. Data management and analytical skills – handling and interpreting large sets of data. Process improvement – ability to recognize and instigate improvements to existing processes and workflows.
