WEEKEND PRIVATE DUTY CAREGIVER – DICKSON, TN

Helping Hearts USA LLC

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday

Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Location: Dickson, TN area

Position Type: Ongoing weekend private-duty home care position

ABOUT THE POSITION

Helping Hearts USA LLC is hiring a dependable and experienced caregiver for an ongoing weekend private-duty home care position in the Dickson, TN area.

This position requires a caregiver who can work every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Strong attendance is required. This position is not a fit for anyone with limited weekend availability, transportation concerns, frequent call-outs, or ongoing attendance issues.

CLIENT CARE NEEDS

The caregiver will provide care in a private home setting.

The caregiver must be:

• Comfortable working in a home with multiple pets, including dogs and cats

• Calm, respectful, and patient

• Dependable and punctual

• Able to follow the care plan closely

• Comfortable working independently in a private home

• Able to provide consistent weekend care

• Able to provide personal care support

• Able to provide companionship and emotional support

• Able to assist with light housekeeping related to the client’s care area

• Able to assist with meals, snacks, hydration reminders, and daily routines

• Able to observe and report any changes in the client’s condition

Reliability, communication, and consistency are extremely important for this position.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENT

This position requires full availability for both weekend shifts.

• Every Saturday

• Every Sunday

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• 12-hour shifts

• Ongoing weekend schedule

Caregivers must be able to work both days every weekend.

This position is not a fit for anyone with:

• Frequent call-outs

• Transportation issues

• Limited weekend availability

• Ongoing attendance concerns

• Difficulty committing to both Saturday and Sunday

• Difficulty arriving on time

• Difficulty staying for the full scheduled shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

Caregiver responsibilities include:

• Assist with personal care as directed by the care plan

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Assist with daily routines

• Support client safety and supervision throughout the shift

• Prepare or assist with meals and snacks

• Encourage hydration as directed

• Complete light housekeeping related to the client’s care area

• Assist with laundry, dishes, tidying, and keeping care areas safe

• Observe and report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition

• Provide medication reminders only as directed by the care plan and company policy

• Complete required documentation before the end of each shift

• Communicate concerns, changes, or incidents to the office immediately

• Follow all Helping Hearts policies and client care instructions

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality at all times

PET-FRIENDLY HOME REQUIREMENT

This home includes multiple pets, including dogs and cats.

Applicants must be comfortable around pets and able to work safely and professionally in a pet-friendly home.

• Uncomfortable working around multiple pets

• Unable to safely work in a pet-friendly home

BASIC EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age of 18

• Prior caregiving experience preferred

• Experience with personal care preferred

• Experience working in private-duty home care preferred

• Compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented

• Reliable transportation

• Valid current driver’s license

• Current car insurance

• Good driving record

• Ability to work independently in a private home setting

• Ability to follow a care plan

• Ability to document accurately

• Ability to communicate professionally with the office

• Ability to maintain client privacy and confidentiality

• Ability to meet attendance expectations for every scheduled shift

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

Applicants must be able to provide required employment and onboarding documents, including:

• Proof of identity and work authorization as required under Form I-9

• Valid current driver’s license

• Social security card or other acceptable employment verification document

• Birth certificate or other acceptable identity document, if applicable

• Proof of high school completion or equivalent

• Current car insurance

• Any additional onboarding documents required by Helping Hearts USA LLC

All documents must be current, valid, and submitted as part of the onboarding process.

BACKGROUND CHECK AND SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required screenings.

Requirements include:

• Comprehensive background check

• 15-year background check, if required by company or state standards

• Drug screening, if applicable

• Reference checks

• Verification of required documents

• Compliance with company onboarding requirements

• Compliance with state and federal employment requirements

REFERENCE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be able to provide professional references.

Reference requirements include:

• Five professional references preferred

• References may not be friends or family

• References should be able to speak to reliability, attendance, work ethic, professionalism, and caregiving experience

TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS

Because this is a private-duty home care position, caregivers must have:

• Reliable transportation

• Valid driver’s license

• Current car insurance

• Good driving record

• Ability to arrive on time for every scheduled shift

• Ability to travel to the client’s private home in the Dickson, TN area

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Helping Hearts caregivers are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.

Caregivers must:

• Arrive on time

• Stay for the full scheduled shift

• Confirm shifts when contacted by the office

• Clock in and out correctly

• Wear proper uniform, including navy scrubs and closed-toe shoes

• Keep hair pulled back if longer than shoulder length

• Follow the care plan and company policies

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality

• Report concerns immediately

• Treat the client, family, coworkers, and office staff with respect

• Communicate through the proper Helping Hearts office line

• Complete all documentation before the end of each shift

The following are not permitted:

• Sleeping on shift

• Earbuds during client care time

• Excessive personal phone use

• Gossip or unprofessional conversations

• Leaving early without office approval

• Failure to communicate with the office

• Failure to follow the care plan

• Failure to complete documentation
