• Hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting based on client needs
• Orientation: July 31
• August Schedule:
  • August 2 - Evening call (6:30 PM)
  • August 3 - Day shift
  • August 4 - Day shift with optional call
  • August 5 - Day shift
  • August 6 - Day shift with optional call
  • August 7 - Day shift
  • August 13 - Day shift with optional call
• September through December dates to be determined
• Weekday start time: 6:30 AM
• Average 12-hour workdays (daily hours depend on OR volume; no hourly guarantee)
• On-site call: 6:30 PM-6:30 AM

Clinical Details

• Full-scope anesthesia practice
• Cases include:
  • Thoracic
  • Neurosurgery
  • Cardiac
  • Trauma
  • Pediatrics
  • Obstetrics
  • Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA)
• Approximately 20% inpatient / 80% outpatient
• Supervise CRNAs in a physician-directed care team model
• Typically cover 3 operating rooms (maximum of 4)
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon

Requirements

• U.S. medical degree (or equivalent)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Completion of an ACGME-approved residency
• Michigan medical license or IMLC eligibility (Michigan license preferred)
• Michigan Controlled Substance License (or eligibility)
• ACLS and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 100 anesthesiology cases within the past 12 months reflective of requested privileges

Credentialing

• Typical turnaround: Approximately 30 days
• Applications prioritized based on start date
• Orientation pay:
  • $400 for four hours or less
  • $800 for more than four hours
