About the Position
We are seeking a CDL Class A Delivery Driver to support local grocery deliveries in the Frederick, Maryland area. This position involves delivering palletized grocery products to local store locations within approximately 100 air miles of Frederick.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour
- Schedule: Varies
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Employment Type: Temp to Perm
- Training: Five days of training provided before operating independently
Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: Palletized grocery products
- Equipment: Class A tractor-trailer with automatic transmission; manual transmission knowledge preferred
- Handling: Heavy touch freight using an electric riding pallet jack and a single electric pallet jack
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver palletized grocery products to local store locations
- Load and unload freight using electric pallet jacks
- Secure products properly, including strapping egg racks
- Provide professional and dependable service at each delivery location
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Strong backing experience highly preferred
- Electric pallet jack experience preferred; training will be provided
- Ability to load and unload palletized freight
