Job Title: MRI Technologist

License: Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification

Must-Have:
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with an emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty or Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with an emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
- Ability to apply principles of cardiovascular and radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, and patient positioning.
- Strong teamwork and following instructions.
- Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Strong communication and professionalism.
- High level of initiative and commitment to assignments.
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology.
- Skills to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with general supervision.


Description:
This entry-level position works under the supervision of a mentor or preceptor.
It is focused on achieving competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and radiologic technology services.
The role involves providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care.
You will prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with the procedures ordered by physicians.
Collaboration with patients, families, and the care team is essential to identify and implement actions for desired clinical outcomes.
Utilizing specialized equipment and techniques, the technologist will perform various diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
A post-procedure review will confirm that all required documentation is completed and that quality standards are met.
You will transfer images and data to archival systems and enter technical data/findings for physician reporting.
Operator-level quality control checks and maintenance will be required per manufacturer guidelines.
Participation in continuing education and professional development activities is encouraged to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvement in care.
