Licensed Massage Therapist

SPA THERAPIST

The Spa Therapist is responsible for setting up treatment stations, greeting guests and explaining services, conducting pre-treatment consultations, promoting treatment products, and maintaining treatment rooms.

Essential Functions: (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Maintain strong knowledge of spa operations, treatments, packages, products, equipment, and property amenities.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, and restock treatment rooms and equipment before and after each service.
• Greet guests, confirm services, obtain required medical releases, conduct consultations, and explain proper draping procedures.
• Perform spa treatments according to company standards, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations.
• Recommend and sell appropriate spa products based on guest needs and preferences.
• Deliver personalized guest service, including maintaining guest history records, providing directions, promoting property amenities, and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional, and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, managers, and other departments.
• Participate in meetings and training on new products, procedures, programs, events, and service improvements.
• Follow all company policies and service standards while maintaining confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information.
• Assist with additional departmental duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of the job, the associate frequently is required to talk or hear.
• The associate frequently is required to stand, walk and use hands. The associate is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualification Standards:

Education and/or Experience

• Secondary school degree preferred and/or previous work experience in service for at least 1 year.

Additional Requirements:

• Understanding of lifestyle hotel products and guest services.
• Must meet legal requirements for any required licensing.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
