About This Role
Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time early education teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who has experience with children ages 6 weeks to three years who loves to get down on the floor to play and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business.
What You'll Do- Maintain NAEYC guidelines for best practice and all state licensing regulations.
- Maintains a safe and healthy environment for young children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for the classroom.
- Maintain routines and classroom schedule.
- Meet children's needs, diaper changing, food prep, rest time, etc...
- Parent communications- daily notes, incident reports, absence check-ins, developmental updates, classroom needs (diapers, extra cloths).
- Preform daily health checks
- Individual Child observations
- Update children's portfolios regularly
- Teaching Strategies Gold check points, quarterly
- Ages and Stages Questionnaires twice a year
- Parent Teacher Conferences, twice a year
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and experience working with young children and their parents preferred
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field), with experience working with young children and their parents will be considered.
- Ability to get on the floor and interact with children.
- Strong organizational skills a must.
- Ability to work and get along with work peers in a cooperative environment.
- Teaching Strategies Gold systems experience.
- Strengthening Families Framework knowledge
- Trauma informed trainings
- Child observation skills
- Peer Mentoring skills
- Reflective Practice experience
- Practice in Parent/Peer communications.
