Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: 07:00 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current hospital acute care experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Must have BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Circulate and scrubbing experience; Meditech experience Description: This is a seasonal travel RN position in the Operating Room. The role requires working Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. The unit includes 14 operating rooms, including hybrid and cystoscopy rooms. Staffing consists of approximately 60 full-time equivalents. The day shift typically has 14-16 RNs and 14-16 surgical techs. Patient ratios are 1:1, with call teams available for specific specialties. Typical procedures performed on this unit include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries. No transplant procedures are conducted in this unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hospital acute care experience. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. Flexibility and adaptability to change are essential. A strong emphasis on patient experience and good communication with staff and providers is necessary. On-call obligations include one weekday and one weekend every six weeks. This position offers an opportunity to work with standard operating room equipment and advanced technology. Candidates with the preferred qualifications will be prioritized.
