Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients with malignant hematologic disorders on a 30-bed inpatient unit. Responsible for administering chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T infusions while supporting ongoing research protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
• Administer chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapies according to protocols.
• Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions and manage side effects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, observations, and patient responses.
• Comply with safety regulations and uphold standards for chemotherapy and biotherapy administration.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year experience in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
• Possess an ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider card.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of oncology and hematology patient care.
• Exhibit excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Adapt to rotating day/night shifts every two weeks.
• Ability to work effectively in a research-driven clinical environment.
