Role Description The Field Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site role based in McMinnville, OR. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems, including network equipment, servers, workstations, Wi‑Fi, and related hardware at client locations. The Field Engineer will perform on‑site diagnostics, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide hands‑on technical support to ensure system reliability and uptime. Daily tasks include responding to service tickets, documenting work performed, collaborating with internal teams on project deployments, and communicating clearly with clients about findings and solutions. The role may also involve assisting with telecom, video surveillance, and infrastructure projects, following established safety and quality standards. Qualifications Strong technical support and field service skills, including on‑site installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems. Effective troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, documenting work, and collaborating with team members. Basic project management skills to support planning, coordination, and execution of field deployments and service activities. Relevant experience with networks, Windows and/or Linux operating systems, and common business applications is beneficial. Industry certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) and experience in an MSP or multi‑client environment are preferred. Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and safely handle equipment and tools is required.
