Position Title: Utility Crew

FLSA: Non Exempt

Reports To: Utility Foreman and Supervisor of Maintenance


Beginning: July 1, 2026

Terms of Employment: A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Commercial / light industrial preferred.
• Arkansas Pesticide Applicator License from the Arkansas State Plant board preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Lawn care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
• Ability to push/pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Repair playground equipment and school furniture.
• Perform substitute custodial duties as requested by supervisor.
• Must be able to use hand tools and power tools to landscape school yards (i.e., lawn mower, weed trimmer, chainsaw) and other equipment and duties as required.
• Maintain equipment.
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Be available for occasional non-work-day emergencies.
• Maintains prompt and regular attendance
• Must be willing to work overtime or after hours whenever needed.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must be able to work independently, sometimes with minimal supervision.
• Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and district administration.
• Maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty,administration, and community patrons.
• Ability to perform physical labor in hot and cold outdoor environments.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders of various heights.
• Other duties as assigned by administration.
